Health promotion: Students and schools in a new exchange format!
The Bachelor's degree program in Health Promotion and Prevention at the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Education has launched an innovative exchange format with schools, which has already been carried out for the second time. The aim of this format is direct contact between the course and young people in order to enable a personal exchange on health promotion topics. Pupils from the Agnes von Hohenstaufen School, the Health Sciences High School and the Health and Care Vocational College took part in the event. They received valuable information about the study focus, research topics and career prospects of the course. ph-gmuend.de reports that Prof. Dr. Jochen Mayer, who heads the course, emphasized the importance of graduates' flexibility in the changing requirements of the labor market.
A special highlight of the event was the contribution by student Theresa Mayr, who presented her master's thesis on the topic of “Physical Literacy among Students”. The active involvement of the students in reflection and discussion ensured a lively exchange. The next date for this exchange format is planned for early autumn.
