Scholarships at PH Heidelberg: Application deadline for talented people is approaching!

The Heidelberg University of Education will again award 21 Germany scholarships for the winter semester 2025/2026, with an application deadline that runs until May 15, 2025. These scholarships are intended to benefit young students and are sponsored by various foundations, including the Klaus Höchstetter Foundation. The university attaches particular importance to promoting the skills and social commitment of its students. Excellent professional achievements are one of the requirements for the award ph-heidelberg.de reported.

Of the total of 21 scholarships, 14 are provided by the Klaus Höchstetter Foundation, the Sparkasse Heidelberg, the Schweinhardt Family Foundation and the Friends of ZONTA-Club Heidelberg e.V. The Vector Foundation also provides 6 scholarships specifically for MINT students in teaching-related secondary school courses. Also the Dr. Rainer Wild Foundation offers its scholarships to students of the bachelor's degree program in Prevention and Health Promotion as well as to students of the subject of everyday culture and health.

Monetary support and personal development

The scholarship holders receive 150 euros per month from the respective foundation and another 150 euros from the federal government for one year. This financial support is intended to help improve the study conditions of the scholarship holders, regardless of their social background. An important aspect of the Germany scholarship program is the promotion of the personality development of young people, which is also a concern of the Klaus Höchstetter Foundation, which offers scholarships for school fees, tuition fees and stays abroad, such as klaus-hoechstetter-stiftung.de documented.

Since 2011, the Heidelberg University of Education has been one of the institutions participating in the Deutschlandstipendium. This not only enables targeted financial support, but also the development of networks among students and exchange with industry. The selection process is carried out under the direction of Prof. Dammer and takes strict criteria into account.

Variety of scholarship offers

In addition to the Germany scholarships, there are also a variety of other funding opportunities. The hey-uni.de highlights that different foundations offer scholarships for different disciplines. These include, for example, funding from the German National Academic Foundation and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, both of which are aimed at students worldwide and offer financial help for living costs. Other organizations such as Airbus Operations GmbH support engineering students with a focus on aerospace technology and offer financial help for research projects that accompany their studies.

The programs range from tuition fees and travel expenses to special funding, such as the Start-up Scholarship for Political Engagement, which helps to promote political awareness among young people. This variety of scholarships shows how important it is to support talented and committed students regardless of their financial situation.
