Ulm University has achieved impressive results in the current CHE ranking. In the CHE ranking, which is considered the most comprehensive university ranking in Germany and is compiled in collaboration with the weekly newspaper DIE ZEIT, students rated their study conditions particularly positively. They consistently gave top ratings between 4 and 4.7 stars in the electrical engineering and information technology course. The survey, which was conducted from January to August 2024 among around 7,500 master's students, contained various criteria, including the length of study and completion in a reasonable time. It turns out that 76.3% of computer science students were able to successfully complete their master's degree within the standard period of study plus two semesters. These values are above the German average, where an overwhelming majority of students at 53% of universities exceed the standard period of study.
