The Bavarian State Government awarded the Bavarian High-Tech Awards for the first time on April 9, 2025 in the Munich Residence. These awards are part of an initiative to promote groundbreaking research and innovation in the Free State. A special highlight of the event was the honoring of Dr. Jacqueline Lammert, head of the “AI in Women’s Health” research group at the TUM Clinic. She was awarded the High-Tech Young Talent Prize, worth 30,000 euros, for her outstanding achievements in research. Dr. Lammert is not only an assistant doctor, but also a group leader at the clinic and polyclinic for gynecology at the TUM Clinic. Her working group is also investigating how AI systems can be further developed into decision-making aids for patients. Another important area of her research is the risk factors for breast cancer and cardiovascular diseases in women with BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations.
