On March 14, 2025, the master's ceremony of the casc continuing education institute took place in the university casino of the University of the Bundeswehr in Munich. Graduates, families and friends celebrated together in a festive atmosphere that recognized the great personal and academic progress of the participants. The event was not only a graduation, but also a significant step into the future of the graduates.
The celebration began with moving speeches by Prof. Uwe Borghoff, board member of the casc, and Dr. Nicol Matzner-Vogel, the institute’s managing director. Both emphasized the importance of further training and the challenges that await graduates in their professional careers. Prof. Karl-Heinz Renner, Vice President for Teaching and Stakeholder Relations, emphasized the relevance of continuing academic education in his speech. The former president of the university, Prof. Merith Niehuss, also addressed inspiring words to the graduates.

The focus of the event was the official handover of the certificates for the master's degree programs. In addition, the best of the year were honored, including Stefan Neubauer for the best degree in the Systems Engineering M.Sc. course. was awarded. Professors and external lecturers presented current research areas and trends in order to give participants insights into the digital and decentralized world of work and to shed light on topics such as the responsible handling of sensitive data. Workshops on human resources development and systems engineering were also offered, highlighting the comprehensive range of courses available at UniBw M.
In addition, the Center for Scientific Continuing Education (ZEWK) has launched a certificate program that focuses on improving teaching qualities. The program is particularly aimed at international guest researchers and teachers who teach as non-native speakers. It aims to create an active learning environment through innovative teaching methods, which is in line with UniBw M's goals of constantly improving the quality of teaching and research.
