University of Passau starts new Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence!
From the winter semester of 2025/26, the University of Passau will take a groundbreaking step in the academic landscape of artificial intelligence (AI). It introduces the first English-language bachelor’s degree program “Artificial Intelligence”. This new course aims to train future experts with the necessary skills to use AI technologies. This includes in particular machine learning, deep learning, neural networks and aspects of natural language processing. Study structure and admission
The bachelor's degree program lasts six semesters. For admission, those interested need a general or subject-specific university entrance qualification as well as English language skills at B2 level. Applicants with school qualifications outside the European Economic Area (EEA) must submit a study aptitude test to prove their skills. In the first four semesters, the courses are offered in both German and English, while the last two semesters take place entirely in English. The registration period for prospective students with a high school diploma or European qualification runs from June 15th to September 30th, 2025.
