Science and military: New cooperation for Germany's security!
The University of the Bundeswehr Munich (UniBw M) and the Bundeswehr Planning Office have intensified their cooperation to strengthen Germany's security situation. On July 22, 2025, University President Prof. Eva-Maria Kern and Major General Stefan Lüth, Head of the Planning Office, signed a significant declaration of intent. Cooperation on multiple levels
UniBw M will support the planning office with scientific issues and contribute its extensive expertise in the field of research. The agreed cooperation highlights the shared responsibility of both institutions for the security of the Federal Republic of Germany and the long-term assurance of an effective defense capability. The aim of exchanging specialist knowledge and resources is to not only support the Bundeswehr in its current mission, but also prepare it for challenging conditions in the long term.
