Future conference on digital resilience: Germany's path to security!

The TRIOKON 2025 conference will take place at the University of Passau on September 25, 2025, with the motto being the resilience and future viability of organizations, companies and social structures in times of crisis. The event is organized by the INDIGO network, an association of six East Bavarian universities, and in cooperation with various chambers of industry and commerce as well as other partners, including the IHK Regensburg for Oberpfalz/Kelheim and the vbw - Association of the Bavarian Economy e.V. The aim of TRIOKON 2025 is to offer networking, knowledge transfer and practice-oriented impulses for a resilient future. The conference will include a comprehensive program with keynotes, keynote speeches, interactive focus topics and a panel discussion, such as uni-passau.de reported.

The conference program includes exciting topics. The keynotes will address, among other things, resilience in personnel development and cybersecurity in supply chains of small and medium-sized companies. The keynote speeches on the influence of conspiracy theories on democracy and the effects of weather-related disasters on the economy and society also receive particular attention. Workshops on AI security, resilient production systems and legal perspectives are planned to provide participants with practical solutions and strategies.

The role of digital transformation

Today, geopolitical conflicts and national crises increasingly have a digital dimension. The academic discussion about this shows that the threats in cyber and information space should not be underestimated. According to the Academy for Civic Education, experts emphasize the urgency of a self-determined digital transformation in order to develop digital sovereignty and resilience. An untargeted digital transformation can significantly jeopardize trust in institutions and democracy. Also apb-tutzing.de highlights that embracing digital technologies through innovative management is crucial for cyber resilience.

Against this background, it is essential that companies, organizations and public administration continue to work on their resilience strategies. The key threats in this area include navigation warfare, supply chain interdiction and cognitive warfare. The digital footprint is becoming an increasingly relevant factor for designing cybersecurity. A functioning administration and the development of trustworthy IT are crucial factors in meeting the challenges of digitalization.

Strategic direction of cybersecurity architecture

The need for a strategic realignment of the cybersecurity architecture is also discussed in a report by the Economic Council of the CDU e.V. The future conference “We are building the cyber nation – Germany’s path to digital resilience and sovereignty”, which will take place in Berlin on July 9th and 10th, 2025, will make another important contribution to the discussion. Participants from politics and business will deal with the design of digital resilience and develop viable answers to the current challenges of cybersecurity. This is particularly important for Germany's prosperity and competitiveness wirtschaftsrat.de executes.

TRIOKON 2025 therefore offers a valuable platform for exchanging information about the resilience of organizations and the challenges of digital transformation. With a focus on practical approaches, the event is expected to make a significant contribution to strengthening resilience in the region and beyond.
