DAGStat 2025: Discover the future of statistics in Berlin!
The 7th Joint Statistical Conference of the German Statistical Working Group (DAGStat 2025) will take place at the Humboldt University in Berlin from March 24th to 28th, 2025. Around 800 statistics experts from 24 countries are expected under the motto “Statistics in Times of AI”. This renowned event is an important meeting point for statistics professionals and offers a platform for exchanging ideas about the rapid development of statistical methods in the age of artificial intelligence. Registration for the conference has already opened. A training day specifically for teachers will also be offered on March 24, 2025, which will take place between 2:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. In the evening event at 7:00 p.m. Prof. Dr. Gerd Gigerenzer will speak, who will talk about the challenges that arise when interpreting health statistics for doctors and patients. More than 400 specialist lectures will also take place throughout the conference, covering numerous current statistical topics.
Diverse training offerings
Particular attention is also paid to the tutorials and workshops offered, which take place parallel to the training day. These sessions cover a variety of topics, including causality, social media, nonparametric methods, and machine learning and Bayesian data analysis. Participants also have the opportunity to take part in seminars on statistical programs such as R, Python and SPSS, which explain basic statistical methods. The supporting program also includes a special exhibition dedicated to the life's work of Emil J. Gumbel. Under the title "Statistician, pacifist, publicist. Conference fees and organizational details
Participation in the conference requires registration and is associated with fees that vary depending on the registration date. The early bird prices are 300 euros for members and 455 euros for non-members. After early bird registration ends, prices increase to 390 euros for members and 520 euros for non-members. If you want to register at a later date, you have to expect fees of 450 euros for members and 600 euros for non-members. If necessary, child care is also offered to make it easier for parents to participate.
Another highlight of the event is the conference dinner on March 27, 2025 in the Wasserwerk event location, which offers participants the opportunity to exchange ideas in an informal setting.
