Art in Dialogue: Exhibition Find Me Some Words for in Between” starts!

The University of Graphics and Book Arts in Leipzig is the venue for the impressive exhibition “Find Me Some Words for in Between”, which will take place from March 10th to 15th, 2025. This exhibition, which is part of the European Month of Photography (EMOP) Berlin, shows the work of students at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). The event was initiated by the curator Akiko Bernhöft and the artist Kathrin Sonntag. It results from an open call for visual arts students and addresses the festival motto “what stands between us”. Social gaps are viewed critically and political tensions and democratic values are brought into focus.

EMOP Berlin is considered the largest photography festival in Germany with over 100 presentations. The opening of the exhibition took place on March 7, 2025 at 6 p.m. The exhibiting artists are Jorwin Brandt, Aylin Derya Stahl, Ana Maria Draghici, Theo Goldbach, Akira Oberhofer, Hu Jinchi, Elvis Osmanović and Aylin Scheer. Access to the exhibition is free of charge, which encourages a wider public to visit.

The University of the Arts Berlin

The UdK Berlin offers a total of over 70 artistic courses. With around 4,000 students, a third of whom have an international background, the university promotes a diverse artistic community. The institution has a long history, dating back to 1696, and has existed in its current form since 1975. In 2025, the UdK will celebrate its 50th anniversary. The President of the UdK has been Prof. Dr. since April 1, 2020. Norbert Palz.

The Fine Arts degree program at the UdK aims to familiarize students with different means of artistic expression and to support them in the development of their own artistic work. The training places great emphasis on teaching artistic practice and individualized support from teachers in order to optimally prepare students for their future work as freelance artists. In particular, the teacher training courses, which aim to support children and young people in their artistic development, have a special status within the faculty.
