Importance of climate education

Highlighted as part of a comprehensive discussion on sustainable development and climate change BNE Osnabrück how important education for sustainable development (ESD) is at the present time. Most climate education materials are accessible via the ESD portal, which provides important information on climate change and measures. The portal is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and offers a variety of teaching and learning materials that support teachers and schools.

Educational initiatives such as EducationKlima-plus promote the development of extracurricular educational institutions for climate protection and integrate numerous partners into a network. Furthermore, various organizations, including Germanwatch and Greenpeace, offer teaching materials and workshops to raise awareness of the effects of climate change on our lives.
