On May 7, 2025, the Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin) will hold a significant meeting of its Academic Senate. At 1 p.m. s.t. The main items on the agenda include the approval of the agenda, the President's reporting on the implementation of the resolutions, as well as current issues relating to the various faculties and their work. Furthermore, strategic discussions and a comprehensive treatment of the budget situation are planned, which will be presented by the President of the Presidium.
Important topics on the agenda
The agenda includes a total of 12 items, including the approval of the minutes of the last meeting and an en bloc vote on several motions. In particular, the final report from the Structural and Development Planning Commission (SEPK) is expected, which will, among other things, address the budget situation and a statement from the Presidium on the work of the SEPK. The SEPK has been working on the quality of data in recent months, which will be discussed in the meeting.
Another important item on the agenda is the report on the digital strategy, which provides information about the university's development plans. Decisions on admission numbers for the 2025/26 semester are also pending. A proposal for the election of a chair and a first deputy chair for the structural commission is also being discussed.
