EUNICE courses started: Now students are demanding international opportunities!
On August 7, 2025, EUNICE European University opened registrations for its courses for the coming semester. The EUNICE courses not only offer the opportunity to collect ECTS points, but also enable free individual training for students from participating universities. All students at the Brandenburg Technical University (BTU) are automatically part of the EUNICE university alliance and can apply for the wide range of offers, which range from online live courses to face-to-face teaching.
The application deadline for courses in the fall semester of 2025 ends on September 15, 2025. Those interested should check the teaching formats, requirements and schedules in the study guide beforehand. Places for most courses are limited and the selection criteria can vary from course to course. The course catalog is available on the official EUNICE website, where the individual course offerings in the areas of design thinking, sustainable business creation, international project management, cyber security and renewable energy are also described in detail.
Learning formats and language courses
The EUNICE courses are available in various learning formats. These include online live or self-study as well as mixed formats (blended intensive courses). The courses are free for students, teachers and employees of all ten partner universities, provided that the specific requirements in the study guide are met. Language courses are also offered in common EUNICE languages such as Spanish, Polish and French.
To register for the courses, those interested must follow a few steps: First, visit the EUNICE website, select a course of interest and read the associated description and requirements. Then click on “Apply now” and fill out a short form. If you have any further questions, please contact us via email address eunice.admissions@put.poznan.pl or by phone at 61 665 3956.
Background of the EUNICE Alliance
The EUNICE European University is part of a comprehensive EU initiative designed to promote better integration and cooperation between universities in Europe. These “European Universities” currently consist of 65 alliances involving more than 570 universities from 35 countries, including all EU member states. Germany has the highest participation with 67 universities in 59 funded alliances, which is important for almost 50% of students in Germany.
EUNICE is a step towards developing common strategies for education, research and innovation in Europe. With the aim of creating 60 university alliances with 500 participating universities by mid-2024, these alliances will act as models of good practice to increase quality and competitiveness in the European higher education sector. Projects within these alliances receive significant funding, which creates additional incentives for the member universities.
A strengthening of strategic partnerships between higher education institutions is planned for the future, reinforced by the support of Member States in a Council Resolution of February 2021. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supports German universities as part of the national accompanying program “European University Networks (EUN)”.
