Support for international students
There is a wide range of support offers for international students at universities in Germany. The Free University of Berlin, for example, offers extensive advice and events that deal with topics such as career planning, internships and starting a career. Also important is the Career Service International at RWTH Aachen, which aims to build a bridge to the German labor market. There, international students are supported in starting their careers with application tips, individual application portfolio checks and seminars on the expectations of the German job market. A special certificate program called “Career Success in Germany” helps students prepare for the German job market in a structured manner over three semesters. rwth-aachen.de informed that…
The regional campaigns, such as “Career at Your Fingertips” in Aachen, are designed to promote internships in the regional IT industry, which not only offers students valuable experience but also increases their chances on the job market. Support for career questions is often not only in German, but also in English, so that international students can receive as comprehensive support as possible.
In addition, it is recommended to improve your German language skills, as this significantly improves your prospects on the German job market. Language courses are offered regularly to help students improve their communication skills and promote their integration.
