New MTH Accelerator in Babelsberg: Innovation boost for MediaTech startups!
On April 28, 2025, the MTH Accelerator at the Babelsberg Media Innovation Center selected three promising startups that work in the field of MediaTech. These new companies will work for 100 days in a creative environment that offers them comprehensive support in developing their ideas and business models. The initiators of the accelerator have created a cooperation with APX Axel Springer Porsche that offers participants access to valuable business coaching, mentoring and a broad network of potential investors.
The program enables the founding teams to work in modern coworking spaces both in Potsdam and at APX in Berlin. Another advantage of the MTH Accelerator is that participation is free: no shares in the company have to be given up, which is a welcome relief for many founders. Interested founders can also apply at any time, which makes the program particularly flexible.
Unique cooperation and support
The cooperation between the Babelsberg Film University, the University of Potsdam, the Hasso Plattner Institute and APX Axel Springer Porsche is unique in Germany. This partnership is financially supported by the Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy of the State of Brandenburg and the media:net berlinbrandenburg initiative. The accelerator is operated by MediaTech Hub Potsdam Management GmbH.

The company CI Hub has already given positive feedback on support in the MTH Accelerator. In a report by MTH Potsdam the team highlights that the program helped them improve their pitching skills, create a compelling pitch deck, and make valuable contacts. A founder of the company stated that he would seek a place in the accelerator again in the future and particularly thanked Erdinç for the support.
