Science meets entertainment: The big science slam in Finsterwalde!

The fourth Brandenburg Science Slam will be held in Finsterwalde on April 29, 2025. The competition format

Up to six researchers per location compete against each other in the competition. The decision about the winner lies in the hands of the audience, who vote using point cards. The presentations are evaluated primarily based on their comprehensibility. To ensure that the time frame is adhered to, yellow and red cards are used: after nine minutes there is a yellow card and after ten minutes there is a red card.

The presentations are followed by an awards ceremony where the best slammer of the evening is chosen. The science slam activities are all about presenting science in a creative and understandable way in order to arouse curiosity and interest among the audience.
