Education for all: SOS Children's Villages open doors for disadvantaged talents!

The collaboration between the Constructor University and the SOS Children's Villages worldwide represents a crucial step in promoting educational equity. This partnership, which has now existed for over 12 years, aims to provide young people with access to high-quality education, regardless of their country of origin or social circumstances.

As part of the Global Scholarship Program To date, 25 students from ten different nations have successfully completed their degrees at Constructor University. Claudia Spieker, who is responsible for corporate relations and talent programs, emphasizes the importance of the international community of scholarship holders. They not only bring different cultural backgrounds, but also a variety of experiences that enrich campus life.

Support from the Global Scholarship Program

The Global Scholarship Program offers disadvantaged young people comprehensive access to education. Not only are tuition fees covered, but also living costs. This holistic approach aims to support the scholarship holders in their personal and academic development. Mentoring, psychosocial support and career advice are other key elements that help young people on their path to independence.

Rumbidzai Maunze, the head of scholarships and educational development, emphasizes that the program specializes in interculturality and excellent study programs. The scholarship holders' preferred courses of study are:Global Economics & Managementas well as Industrial Engineering & Management, which provide a solid foundation for future careers.

Long-term perspectives and goals

Graduates of this program have a wide range of opportunities to shape their professional careers. Many of them enter the German job market directly, while others decide to continue their academic career through a master's degree or doctorate. This development demonstrates the success of the program and the positive impact of the collaboration between Constructor University and SOS Children's Villages worldwide.

The current cooperation agreement between the two organizations runs until 2028, with further expansion plans on the horizon. This long-term approach is intended not only to improve educational opportunities, but also to contribute to the creation of a fairer society in which education is viewed as a fundamental right for all.
