International Coding Camp: Programmers from 20 countries in Romania!
On September 18, 2025, the international workshop program ACTS, a project of Constructor University, celebrated the conclusion of a significant eleven-day workshop. The workshop took place in the picturesque Satul Prunilor, Romania, from June 27th to July 7th, 2025. Over 60 talented students from more than 20 nations took part after qualifying from more than 400 applications. This selection was made primarily based on their excellent performance at national and international Informatics Olympiads (IOI) as well as their own selection competition.
ACTS 2025 offered a comprehensive program that included coding workshops, competitions and mentoring. Loud Constructor University This workshop is part of a series of events that also included ACTS in Serbia and Kazakhstan. Scientists and IT experts led advanced courses that provided participants with valuable insights.
Experience and cultural exchange
In addition to the technical knowledge, the participants also gained cultural experiences. Last year, visits to Bran Castle, also known as “Dracula’s Castle”, and the impressive Râșnov Fortress were organized. These experiences were complemented by outdoor team games that not only promoted learning but also strengthened friendships between participants. The impressive views of the mountains of Romania contributed to the inspiration and joy of nature, like HighEdu reported.
New events are already being planned for 2026, including an online intensive camp from January 16th to 20th and ACTS 2026.1, which is scheduled to take place in Romania from January 24th to February 3rd. Selection for future camps will continue to be made via the Youth Coding Challenge youth competition.
Achievements and support
The event was supported not only by Constructor University, but also by JetBrains Foundation, Neapolis University Pafos and HighEdu. Participants were able to enjoy all necessary materials, accommodation and meals during the workshop, with transportation costs also covered. Alumni from previous ACTS camps have an impressive record: They won a total of 29 medals (6 gold, 10 silver and 13 bronze) at the International Olympiad in Informatics, highlighting the high quality of training and the effectiveness of the program.
The ACTS workshop not only offers a space for technical training, but also promotes a unique platform for intercultural exchange.
