New Partnership: Constructor University and CELT Colleges Strengthen Education in Azerbaijan!

On October 17, 2025, Constructor University from Germany and CELT Colleges from Azerbaijan signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Baku. This partnership aims to promote academic tutoring and personal support for students in Constructor University's online programs.

This cooperation will make it possible to provide local tutoring and support services specifically for Azerbaijani students. The partnership combines the high academic standards of Constructor University with the CELT Colleges' 20 years of experience in tutoring and learning support.

Academic support and development

Students benefit from subject-specific tutoring and the promotion of their academic skills. The CELT Colleges will serve as the official site of the Constructor University in Azerbaijan. Students can complete the first two years of their bachelor's program in Baku, while the third year takes place in Bremen, Germany. This means they receive an internationally recognized qualification.

The signing of the memorandum took place in the presence of various media representatives, executives of both institutions as well as Prof. Chingiz Abdullayev, chairman of the German-Azerbaijani Society. Prof. Abdullayev emphasized the initiative as a contribution to strengthening cultural and economic relations between Germany and Azerbaijan.

Prof. Dr. Thomas Auf der Heyde from Constructor University expressed high hopes for this collaboration and saw great potential in collaboration with Azerbaijan. For Constructor University, Azerbaijanis represent the fourth largest international student group, which further underlines the importance of this partnership.

Expansion of educational offerings

The CELT Colleges were founded in 2001 and have established themselves as leading education providers in Azerbaijan. They offer a variety of services including English lessons, test preparation and academic advising. The excellent reputation of the CELT colleges in preparing for international training is strengthened by their specialization and many years of experience.

Head of Administration Hayyam Damirov, CEO of CELT Colleges, highlighted the importance of this collaboration to provide students with global opportunities. This agreement promises a sustainable, bilateral academic environment and expanded access to international educational standards.

Overall, the MoU emphasizes the strategic intent to further expand Constructor University's long-term direct presence in Azerbaijan and improve educational opportunities for Azerbaijani students, while promoting academic cooperation between both countries.
