The University of Bremen is hosting the sixth digital compatibility week from May 19 to 23, 2025. Under the motto “Take care – Connecting through change” the focus is on important topics such as care work, welfare, diversity and discrimination. The week is organized by the university's Equal Opportunities Office.
This initiative aims to promote exchange and networking and to highlight the visibility of discrimination in everyday study and professional life. Interactive online formats such as lectures, discussion groups and workshops are the main components of the event.

A central goal of the Compatibility Week is to reflect on crisis phases in life and to make visible (in)visible obstacles that students and employees at universities are confronted with. The planned events include a lecture by qualified psychologist Mirjam Puppe on neurodiversity and a workshop with Professor Klaus-Peter Hufer, who will deal with populist slogans. Experienced scientists like Dr. Nancy Odor will present experiences on balancing motherhood, research and career, complemented by other facets of care responsibilities.
