Record-breaking participation and strong competition
A total of 32 teams from different countries took part in the oral proceedings. In addition to the Bucerius Law School, the competitors included universities such as the University of Toronto, the University of Ottawa and the University of Bern. The Bucerius students impressed in the written phase and were able to successfully work their way through the preliminary rounds of oral negotiations, where they also competed against teams from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and University College London.
In the quarter-finals they met the University of Ottawa, which was another highlight of the event. It was particularly notable that Bucerius Law School was the only team from continental Europe to be represented in the round of the last eight teams. This underlines the excellent training and preparation that students at Bucerius offer.

The fact that the Bucerius team was able to achieve this achievement was also thanks to the support of a dedicated coaching team consisting of experienced faculty members. The coaches included Henri Heising, Louis Strelow, Johanna Westermann and others, all of whom help strengthen the students' oral negotiation skills and written work. Particularly noteworthy are the thanks to BONABRY as well as to Jan Peter Heidenreich and Carl-Alexander Dinges for their valuable help during the written phase and the practice arguments.
