Star Hours Festival: Science and music captivate Bergedorf!
The annual Sternstunden festival is just around the corner and will take place in the historic observatory in Bergedorf, Hamburg, on July 18th and 19th, 2025. For the third time, the festival invites visitors to engage in a unique combination of music and science. Over 30 concerts, lectures and hands-on experiments will be offered on both days, taking place on five stages, both open air and in the listed observatory buildings. The event opens at 4pm on Friday and 2pm on Saturday, creating an ideal setting for all ages. The address of the observatory is Gojenbergsweg 112, 21029 Hamburg-Bergedorf, accordingly uni-hamburg.de.

The participants include artists from the choirs and orchestra of the University of Hamburg as well as regional musicians. Expected highlights include performances by Anahit Vardanyan, Rocket Men and Yousef Kekhia. In addition to the musical performances, the festival aims to convey science and astronomy in a tangible way. The program includes tours of domed buildings, discussions with researchers, science slams and night sky observations, although these are weather dependent. Special activities and knowledge formats are also planned for families and children.
