Loud uni-kassel.de The event is organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering/Computer Science under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Bangert organized.

The teams will present themselves on Friday, March 28th. This takes the form of short lectures in front of an expert jury consisting of experienced members from schools, industry and science. The main topics of the competition cover a variety of areas, including the world of work, biology, chemistry, earth and spatial sciences, mathematics/computer science, physics and technology.

Innovative projects and challenges

The young researchers' most creative ideas range from generating electricity through floor coverings to building Geiger-Müller counter tubes and using movement as an energy source. The investigation of explosive atmospheres in closed rooms is also covered. Such topics demonstrate the high level of innovation and enthusiasm that the participants have for MINT subjects.

The public presentation of the projects will take place on Saturday, March 29, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., followed by the highly anticipated awards ceremony in Lecture Hall 1603 between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The welcoming speakers include, among others, Dr. Oliver Fromm, the chancellor of the university, and Prof. Dr. Dirk Dahlhaus, the dean, and Timon Gremmels, a Hessian minister. Conditions of participation and outlook

Schoolchildren up to the age of 14 are allowed to take part in the “Jugend forscht junior” section. The participation requirement states that participants must not be older than 14 years on December 31st of the registration year. Younger participants must attend at least 4th grade. In group projects, the age of the oldest participant counts, which plays an important role in the selection of projects. However, there is no national final in this division; The competition usually ends with the state competition, like jugend-forscht.de explained.

In special cases, outstanding projects can be upgraded by the jury to the main “Jugend forscht” category if they are considered to be the best in their fields. This shows the extraordinary commitment and ambition that the young researchers bring to demonstrate their skills in the MINT area.

The supporters of the event, such as the cdw Stiftung gGmbH, Hübner and Kennedy Stiftung gGmbH and the employers' association HESSENMETALL Nordhessen, play a crucial role. It is thanks to them that the competition offers a first-class forum for the talents of the future.
