Their study aims to analyze regenerative treatment options for dead dental nerves, which could represent a significant advance in the dental field.

In addition to these developments, Dr. Sven Apel, who holds the Heisenberg Professorship at the University of Passau received attention. This professorship, which is also funded by the German Research Foundation, focuses on software development, particularly on automatic software construction. The Heisenberg Professorship is a prestigious program to promote young scientists that enables around ten scientists in Germany every year to conduct research under optimal conditions and advance their careers. After five years there is the possibility of converting the professorship into a regular professorship.
