He actively prepares his students for the challenges of professional life.
Special features of the award
The award ceremony took place under the direction of Prof. Dr. Heidrun Schumann, the first chairman of the GFUR, and Prof. Dr. Karsten Müller, the second chairman. During the ceremony, Müller emphasized Professor Seifert's commitment to excellent teaching and his ability to inspire and support students. The nomination for the sponsorship award also highlights that Professor Seifert skillfully links theoretical content with current developments in the digital economy.
To support a deep understanding of entrepreneurial and strategic processes, Professor Seifert uses different teaching methods, such as meta- and case studies, practical examples, virtual reality and interactive simulations. These methods ensure that students are able to apply complex theories and develop practical solutions.
The context of digital higher education
Professor Seifert's award is linked to the ongoing changes in higher education that are being shaped by new technologies. Digital technologies, especially artificial intelligence (AI), open up new opportunities for students, teachers and university administrations. In this context, higher education is becoming increasingly individualized, flexible and mobile.
The Federal Ministry of Education and Research emphasizes that digitalization can make higher education more open, fairer, more international and more efficient. As part of initiatives such as the University Forum for Digitalization and the KI Campus, active work is being done to promote digitalization in studies and teaching. These programs support innovative teaching and learning formats and contribute to the development of AI skills.
The measures to strengthen digital higher education aim to optimize teaching offerings and support systems and to promote the integration of AI into various departments and degree programs. Professor Seifert's teaching is already at the forefront of this development, combining traditional knowledge with the requirements of the digital economy and thus making a valuable contribution to current higher education.
