Career entry made easy: TU Clausthal opens doors to industry!

The Clausthal University of Technology is expanding its commitment to prospective graduates with a new series of events entitled “Hello Industry – Career entry into the non-academic job market”. How TU Clausthal reports, this initiative is intended to actively support students with their questions about starting a career. At irregular intervals, various companies will offer lectures and discussions in Clausthal to promote exchange and get in direct contact with young talent.

The series kicks off on May 6, 2025. Albemarle Germany will give the first lecture, with Dr. Jörg Storsberg, Quality Manager Pharmaceuticals and Quality Testing, will speak in the cafeteria of the university library at 5 p.m. His presentation will not only include a company introduction, but will also discuss career paths and the desirable skills for starting a career.

Insights into the diversity of the industry

Albemarle is an important company that currently employs around 700 people at its locations in Langelsheim and Frankfurt. Of particular note is the production of over 200 different products in Langelsheim, including lithium compounds, which are essential for sustainable mobility, the energy transition, as well as medicines and connectivity. After the lecture there will also be space for discussions to enable direct exchange between students and company representatives.

The target group of this series of events primarily includes prospective master's graduates and doctoral students. Students from younger semesters and researchers are also cordially invited to take part in the events. Admission to the event is free, increasing accessibility for anyone interested.

Newsletter and future events

In order to stay continuously informed about future events, those interested can register for the newsletter of the Graduate Academy of the Clausthal University of Technology. This means you not only stay up to date with the speakers' dates, but also receive additional information about the respective event. The series is organized in collaboration with several university institutions, including the university library, the Institute of Economics and the Clausthal-Göttingen Simulation Science Center.
