Leibniz University opens doors: university information days for students!

The Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) will open its doors for the University Information Days (HIT) on September 9th and 10th, 2025. This event takes place both on site in the Guelph Castle and online and offers comprehensive information for prospective students. Welfengarten 1 in Hanover will be the central location for participants who would like to find out about the university's various course offerings.

A focus of the HIT is on the topics of courses offered, financing, application procedures and stays abroad. Participants receive answers to their questions about their studies in lectures, information sessions and live broadcasts. All bachelor's degree programs at LUH are presented and can be followed virtually. Other institutions taking part in the event include the Hannover University of Applied Sciences, the Hannover Medical School and the Hannover University of Music, Theater and Media.

Participation details

Participation in the university information days is free of charge, but registration is required to visit on site. Anyone who would like to take part in the online lectures can do so easily via WebEx. No software download is necessary for PC or laptop, and there is also a solution for smartphone users. All they have to do is download the free WebEx Meetings app.

Only your name and email address are required to register; the data is not stored or forwarded. In the virtual room, the microphone and camera are deactivated by default for all participants. To activate the audio connection, the sound may need to be activated manually using a telephone handset button. Questions can be submitted via the Slido tool, which can be found in the bottom right corner of the screen. This tool works similarly to a chat and strengthens interactivity during the event.

Those interested can find the registration option and further information on the official website of the event www.hit.uni-hannover.de. If you have additional questions, please contact Mechtild Freiin von Münchhausen, press spokesperson for the LUH, by phone at +49 511 762 5342 or by email kommunikation@uni-hannover.de available.

The university information days offer a valuable opportunity to find out more about the academic perspectives at Leibniz University Hannover and other participating institutions. The hybrid form makes participation easier and enables interested parties from different regions to obtain comprehensive information.
