Campus Festival Bielefeld: A musical fireworks display on June 19, 2025!
The Campus Festival Bielefeld, a highlight in the region's event calendar, will take place on June 19, 2025 on the grounds of Bielefeld University. Despite planned construction work, the festival will remain on campus, but the location will be moved. Visitors can look forward to a new area in front of the university's new extension; the festival area extends between the light rail and the new main entrance.
This year there are some well-known artists on the program. The line-up is led by Ski Aggu, the cult rapper from Germany, who became known not only for his hit “Party Creme”, but also with a gabber-pop version of “Friesenjung” (Otto Waalkes), which went viral on TikTok. His current album “think about it…” reached number 1 in the charts. Festival visitors can also expect performances from Bibiza, an indie rapper from Vienna, the punk band Team Scheisse, and the duo Das Lumpenpack, which offers a mix of indie rock, pop and comedy. Also new to the program is the talented newcomer Paula Engels, who comes from Düsseldorf and became known through her participation in “The Voice Kids”. The Berlin rap group Teuterekordz will also be on stage, and other artists are being planned.
Tickets and prices
Ticket sales will start on April 15, 2025, initially exclusively for students at Bielefeld University and the University of BiCo. Ticket prices have been adjusted this year: University and HSBI students pay 29 euros, which is a reduction compared to the previous price of 35 euros. For students from other universities, schoolchildren, trainees and FSJ students as well as employees of the university and HSBI, the price is 35 euros (previously 45 euros). General tickets cost 49 euros instead of 55 euros. The option of an early bird ticket is no longer available, but the quota of 29 euro tickets for students will be increased. Tickets are available both at ticket offices and online www.campusfestival-bielefeld.de available, with a surcharge of 1 euro for online tickets.
Music festivals in Germany
The Campus Festival Bielefeld contributes to the dynamic music festival scene in Germany, which has seen a notable increase in the number of events in recent years. According to a survey by the Hessian State Statistical Office on “national cultural statistics”, it was found that there is a lack of comprehensive data on the festival and festival landscapes. Previous studies were limited to individual federal states, which makes the statistical analysis of the cultural diversity and importance of events such as the Campus Festival difficult. Nevertheless, the festival is an opportunity to celebrate local culture and enrich the music offering in the region.
