The “European Handball Manager” certificate program will celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2025. It is offered in cooperation with the European Handball Federation (EHF) and has established itself as an important qualification program in the field of handball management. During the Handball Champions League Final Four, participants will receive their certificates after they have successfully completed both written and oral exams as well as media and communication training.
The program, which was initiated by the German Sport University Cologne in 2015, aims to meet the need for professionally trained handball managers. Over 150 graduates from more than 25 nations have already taken part in the course and many of them now hold leading positions in handball clubs, leagues and associations. EHF General Secretary Martin Hausleitner emphasizes the importance of this program for the professionalization of handball.
