The pressure on today's musicians is enormous. As part of the pop culture young talent program report Folkwang University students talk about their artistic engagement with familiar and controversial topics. On August 25, 2025 at 7:30 p.m., eight artists will present their works in the “8×15” showcase at Callie’s in Berlin.
Everyone acts in a compact 15-minute format, bringing a wide range of contemporary sounds to the stage. The musical performances cannot be clearly classified and address personal and political content. Admission to this event is free, ensuring broad accessibility to the art.
Various artists and innovative music styles

The event is organized by the Bochum Institute for Pop Music at Folkwang University and offers a platform on which new talent can be discovered.
