University Information Day 2025: Discover Düsseldorf’s study options!
The University Information Day (HIT) will take place at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU) on June 14, 2025. This event, which is organized jointly by the HHU and the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences (HSD), offers students and interested parties comprehensive information about study opportunities in the Düsseldorf region. The event is an excellent opportunity to find out about various topics such as choosing your field of study, application processes, enrollment, financing your studies, scholarships and opportunities to study abroad.
Visitors can expect a varied supporting program that includes presentations and information stands in the lecture hall center of the Faculty of Arts and the Student Service Center (SSC). The university has prepared to give those interested numerous insights into campus life, including leisure activities such as the Düsseldorf Film Festival and university sports. The program is supplemented by access to advisory services, which are provided before the event in the form of the “Wegweiser” booklet and by the SSC student advisory service.
Comprehensive range of information
A particular focus is on presenting the approximately 92 study programs offered at the HHU, both in the areas of bachelor's, master's and state examinations. This also includes innovative courses such as 'Quantitative Biology' as well as bilingual and English-language programs, 52 of which are conducted in English. The university is also celebrating the introduction of the Heinrich Heine College Year, a two-semester orientation course that starts in the fall/winter semester of 2025/2026 and emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches in the humanities, cultural sciences and social sciences.
Particularly noteworthy is the CHE study program ranking 2025, in which the subjects of German studies and psychology received top ratings above the German average. This information underlines the high quality of the courses offered.
Offers of help for prospective students
The event on June 14th will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in buildings 21.02, 22.01 and 23.01 at Universitätsstraße 140 in Düsseldorf. In addition to information about the degree programs, discussions with researchers, teachers and students are also planned. These discussions offer in-depth insights into the career prospects of the various subjects and, through information on financing studies, the economic side of choosing a course of study is also illuminated.
The university information days also offer the opportunity to get to know different student advisory services, which, according to the German Education Server, offer important support for students and prospective students, including individual advice on specific life situations and target groups.
Students can also receive information about funding opportunities such as BAföG, educational loans and scholarships. The advisory services are also aimed at foreign students and include support for students with disabilities and graduate students with regard to career planning and academic careers.
The university information event is therefore not only a platform for information about study programs, but also a comprehensive advisory event that is intended to help those interested in finding the right training and support for their academic career. Further details and information are available on the website University information page and at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and Education server accessible.
