Apply now: secure a Germany scholarship for students!
The application phase for this opens on March 17, 2025 Germany scholarship of the OWL Study Fund Foundation. Interested parties can submit their applications until May 5, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. The total funding amount is 3,600 euros per year, distributed over 300 euros per month, with 150 euros provided by private sponsors and 150 euros by the federal government.
The scholarship is aimed at German and international students at five universities: the University of Bielefeld, the University of Paderborn, the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, the Technical University of Ostwestfalen-Lippe and the Detmold University of Music. Applications are also possible for prospective students who would like to start their studies at one of these universities in the winter semester of 2025.
Application process and requirements
The application is made exclusively via Online form. The required application documents include a letter of motivation, a CV in the form of a table and evidence of academic and practical achievements. Students must also ensure that their documents are uploaded in PDF format and submitted on time.
The selection criteria are based on school and study performance, voluntary commitment and personal circumstances such as caring for relatives or overcoming biographical hurdles. Multiple applications are possible, but each scholarship must be applied for separately.
Funding and financial conditions
The Deutschlandstipendium is characterized by income-independent funding that does not have to be repaid. The scholarships are not counted towards BAföG or other social benefits, with the exception of housing benefit. Beneficiaries can also receive the scholarship in conjunction with BAföG.
Around 530 students at the participating universities are currently receiving funding totaling 1.8 million euros. Each scholarship is funded half by federal funds and half by private donations. The OWL study fund is looking for additional sponsors to support the next funding period.
In addition to the financial framework, the OWL study fund offers an ideal support program in cooperation with partners from the region in order to offer scholarship holders a more comprehensive range of support.
The speakers Fabian Klipsch and Sandra Erdmann are available for questions or further information. Those interested can contact the specified contact points directly by telephone or email.
The Deutschlandstipendium therefore offers a valuable opportunity to provide support to students and at the same time promote engagement in the region. The current application phase is an opportunity to apply for this important help and to financially secure your own educational path.
