ITS.Connect career fair: Opportunities for IT talents on May 6, 2025!
The company contact fair ITS.Connect will take place on May 6, 2025 in the event center of the Ruhr University Bochum. This event is aimed at students, doctoral candidates and alumni who are interested in a career in IT security. With around 1,000 ITS students at the Ruhr University, the trade fair is an excellent opportunity to get to know potential employers and make valuable contacts.
ITS.Connect offers over 47 participating companies and institutes a platform to present their career opportunities. Exhibitors include local giants such as ETAS and the Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy as well as well-known companies such as BASF, E.ON Digital Technologies and NTT DATA from all over Germany.
Career opportunities and support
Visitors to the trade fair can look forward to a wide range of offers, including exchanges with experts from the IT security industry. The event not only provides information about different career paths, but also promotes networking. A special highlight is the opportunity to receive tips for applications and career plans directly from the experts.
The Ruhr University Career Service also offers online training that prepares you for the trade fair. This training includes tips for planning your trade fair visit, strategies for communicating expertise and maintaining contacts after the event. Interested parties should register by April 25, 2025 at the latest to take part in the trade fair and the online training.
Performance measurement and additional incentives
The successes of past events show that ITS.Connect represents a valuable opportunity for all participants. In 2024, 70% of visitors found a company to apply to and 89.5% of companies reported discovering potential candidates.
Over 50 companies present career opportunities, offer free catering and the opportunity to have professional application photos taken. In addition, numerous give-aways are planned to sweeten the trade fair for visitors. The event will take place on May 6, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is considered one of the highlights within career promotion at the Ruhr University.
At the same time, the ENTER_ZUKUNFT_IT job fair will also take place on May 27, 2025 at the Bockenheim campus of the University of Frankfurt. This fair focuses on computer science and mathematics courses and offers students and graduates the opportunity to meet potential employers without prior registration.
