Long evening of study advice: How to find the right course of study!
The application deadlines for the study programs for the winter semester 2025/2026 start on June 23, 2025. HHU reports that This period is crucial for the next step in the academic career of many young people. In order to be able to offer prospective students, parents and teachers comprehensive information and support, a long evening of student advice will take place on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The event on the campus of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf includes a variety of offers, including specialist lectures, personal on-site consultations as well as telephone and digital chat consultations. The advice topics are broad and range from choosing a course of study to enrolling and financing your studies.
A wide range of student advisory services
The program includes informative lectures on the courses offered, such as medicine, law, psychology, economics and natural sciences. The Heinrich Heine College Year, an orientation program, is also presented to help students orient themselves better. Additionally, on the HHU website emphasizes the importance of student advising for students, which acts as a central contact point for organizational and content-related questions.

For more in-depth questions, the student advisory service also offers individual appointments that can be arranged outside of regular office hours (Wednesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. or Tuesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. via Webex). An advance appointment via email is particularly recommended in order to specifically prepare for advice-intensive topics. The semester and valid examination regulations should also be named in order to optimize advice.
The offer of student advisory services is underlined by the great need for information and advice in higher education.
