The student parliament of the FernUniversität in Hagen is currently looking for committed members for the election committee for the upcoming student elections in 2025. The application deadline ends on May 12, 2025, and the elections are scheduled for September 2025. This initiative allows students to actively participate in shaping their own representation.
The election committee will consist of seven members and will work closely with the election management to organize the elections neutrally. Interested parties who are not members of the student body also have the opportunity to apply. In order to avoid neutrality conflicts, members of the bodies to be elected are not allowed to serve on the election committee. The committee members are expected to be elected by the student parliament in May 2025.
Application and requirements
The members receive an expense allowance for their work on the election committee, and there is the option of deducting travel and accommodation costs. To apply, interested parties must send an email to buero@asta-fernuni.de. A completed profile is required that contains the following information: surname, first name, age, place of residence, course of study or semester (if at the FernUni), length of membership at the FernUni and previous experience in elections.
The organization of the elections is ensured by the student body itself, which underlines the importance of student participation. Nils Roschin, the chairman of the student parliament, called on students to apply for a place on the election committee and thus make a contribution to democratic participation at the university. The first election of the electoral committee is scheduled for February 8, 2025, and once it is constituted, work can begin.

- Wahl des Wahlausschusses: 8. Februar 2025
