New bachelor's degree program: The future of health management begins!
The University of Witten/Herdecke (UW/H) has launched a new bachelor's degree program in “Management in Healthcare” (B. Sc.), which will attract students from the summer semester of 2026. Applications are now possible. The target group is young people who want to acquire both management skills and specialist knowledge of the healthcare system. The course was developed in close collaboration with human medicine and aims to optimally prepare students for leadership positions in the healthcare sector.
In this new program, students acquire knowledge in various subject areas. This includes business administration, strategy development and organization as well as leadership styles. Medical and health science basics are also taught. Students learn to analyze and actively shape complex challenges in healthcare. They are supported by experienced teachers.

These priorities are crucial because the need for well-trained specialists and managers in the healthcare industry is continually increasing.
Diverse career opportunities for graduates
Graduates of the course are well prepared for a variety of career opportunities. These include areas such as consulting, health economics and health policy. It is also possible to switch to the bachelor’s degree in “Management in Healthcare” without wasting any time.
The course lasts six semesters, with the teaching language being both German and English. The tuition fees amount to 35,856 euros. In addition, ten percent of the study time is set aside for fundamental studies in order to promote the students' personal development. The UW/H attaches great importance to an inspiring teaching and learning environment, supported by small learning groups and innovative teaching methods.
Those interested can apply for the Management course until August 15th for the winter semester 2025/26.
