Collaboration with the DWIH New Delhi will be a central part of the new initiatives.
Expansion in Latin America

With this reopening, UA Ruhr aims to expand its activities throughout Latin America. This initiative follows a first phase from 2012 to 2019 in which the focus was on Brazil.
The Liaison Office Latin America is jointly led by Professor Matthias Epple from the UDE and Marcio Weichert, the Executive Director. The UA Ruhr has already participated in events at various universities and conferences in Brazil in March 2023 to strengthen its presence and partnerships in the region.
Collaboration and quality standards
German universities are showing a growing commitment to international cooperation. The focus is on developing study programs and new faculties abroad. These trends are part of the internationalization strategies of many universities, which is also the case international-hochschulkooperationen.de is underlined. The code for German university projects abroad, passed in 2013, sets minimum qualitative and ethical requirements that apply to all universities involved.

The RUB and the UA Ruhr are therefore part of a dynamic European university system that would like to further deepen its international connections.
