Bielefeld University starts the summer semester with 1,000 new students!

Today, April 7, 2025, the summer semester begins at Bielefeld University, in which around 1,000 new students will begin their studies. Rector Professor Dr. Angelika Epple welcomed the new students to lecture hall H7 and promised an exciting lecture period. This year's event not only marks the start of the semester, but also includes special initiatives such as the “Campus Summer” and a lecture series on artificial intelligence, which enriches the university's academic offerings. The preliminary figures show that the number of new students has remained stable compared to the previous year. Enrollments are currently still possible in some departments. This program is organized by the student health management “Campus in Balance” in cooperation with UniKino. The film on June 12th will be a German production directed by Karoline Herfurth, which deals with self-image and social pressure. On July 3rd, students can enjoy a full-length blockbuster starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone that combines song and dance. Participation in all events is free of charge and is intended to promote exchange and the well-being of students.
