A variety of events at the UDE: education, careers and more!
There are numerous events on the program at the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE) on May 21, 2025. They offer students and interested parties the opportunity to deepen their foreign language skills and discuss current topics in artificial intelligence (AI). These events are not only informative, but also crucial for the personal and academic development of the participants.
Particularly highlighted is the lecture by Dr. Kristina Schröder, who talks about the challenges of career and family. Their expertise will be heard on various days of the event, particularly on Tuesday, May 27th. There she deals with career advancement for women and family planning.
A wide range of language training options
Another central topic of the UDE events is language education. A particular focus is on promoting multilingualism. This plays a crucial role for individual development and society as a whole. People who grow up multilingual often show strong metalinguistic skills, which make learning new languages easier. In order to meet the needs of the participants, cooperation and networking between all actors in the educational sector are necessary in order to design language education as a continuous process. The aim is to support language learning across educational biographies and to facilitate transitions in the education system.
For those interested, AMKA's website offers a wealth of information and practical tips on language education, including networking opportunities and current events. A comprehensive database also presents language education offerings in various parts of Frankfurt, which is continually being expanded.
