The University of Trier is looking forward to welcoming you in July 2025 Rabenschlau Children’s University to offer again. This innovative program will take place July 21-31, 2025 and is aimed at children ages 8 to 12. Registration is already underway and is possible until May 15, 2025.
The children's university offers exciting offerings from various subjects that enable young people to immerse themselves in the world of science. The events are led by experienced professors and lecturers from the University of Trier who convey scientific content in an age-appropriate manner. The topics are diverse: from shopping behavior to recycling packaging to the secrets of the Middle Ages and the investigation of the university pond.
A varied program
There are a total of six different events to choose from. Parents have the opportunity to select the appropriate events from the program together with their children. When registering online, up to three events can be prioritized to give children the best possible experience. Information about the allocation of places will be sent out by the end of May.
What is particularly exciting is the opportunity for children to apply to become a RabenReporter. They can learn from experienced newspaper reporters and gain practical experience in journalism. This initiative helps to further promote children's interest in media and communication.
Science you can touch
The events are designed to be not only entertaining but also educational. Topics like “Why do we buy the products we buy?” or “How do computer games work?” are treated in an engaging manner. Participants can learn and interact in real university lecture halls and seminar rooms, which makes learning particularly vivid.
The children's university offers a wide range of formats, including lectures, workshops, seminars and excursions. Parents and children are invited to find out about the extensive program and take part in one of the exciting events.
