Startup Camp Trier: Your idea can win 1,500 euros!

On March 25, 2025, the organizers announced the upcoming event Startup Camp Trier for May 8th and 9th, 2025. This event will take place at Sparkasse Trier and is aimed at a broad target group of people interested in starting a business, such as students, employees and experienced professionals from various industries, including IT, linguistics, creative industries, social economy and crafts.

To take part, those interested need a concrete business idea, but it is not necessary to have already founded one. From April 1, 2025, anyone interested can register for free. The number of places is limited, which is why early registration is recommended.

Program and highlights

The Startup Camp program includes practice-oriented workshops in which tools, methods and strategies for implementing your own entrepreneurial projects are taught. A special highlight of the event is the pitch on the second day, where participants can present their business models to an expert jury.

The three most convincing concepts can win 1,500 euros each, sponsored by Volksbank Trier, Sparkasse Trier and Stadtwerke Trier. This event is organized by the founding office of the University of Trier and the Trier University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with the Trier Economic Development Agency.

Previous events and networking opportunities

A similar event took place on April 25th and 26th, 2024, also under the name Startup Camp Trier. This was also aimed at people with ideas for starting a business, including in particular students, trainees and experienced professionals. Support came from experienced mentors from science and practice.

The focus was on content such as converting ideas into viable business models and developing promising strategies. The second day also included the presentation of the business models to a jury and the award ceremony for the three best ideas. Here too, the prizes were provided by the same sponsors, Volksbank Trier, Sparkasse Trier and Stadtwerke Trier.

The Startup Camp not only offers the opportunity to concretely implement ideas, but also to build a valuable network. Participants can make connections that will help them on their entrepreneurship journey.
