The WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management has once again positioned itself as a leading educational institution in Germany. According to the QS Master's in Management Ranking 2026, WHU is number 1 in Germany and also enjoys a remarkable international ranking.

In the current ranking, WHU ranks 22nd out of a total of 235 institutions worldwide, which represents an improvement of two places compared to the previous year. The number of universities included in this ranking has increased from 206 to 235. This growth reflects increasing competition in the business education space.

Achievements across categories

WHU achieves high rankings in several categories. For example, the Master in Management program ranks in the following areas:

  • Value for Money: Platz 14
  • Alumni Outcomes: Platz 18
  • Thought Leadership: Platz 28
  • Employability: Platz 34

The overall score for the program is 78.5 out of 100 possible points. What is particularly noteworthy is that WHU is above the average of other international business schools in four out of five categories. The Rector, Prof. Dr. Christian Andres, emphasizes the international recognition of the training and the promising career opportunities for bachelor graduates.

International rankings and awards

Growing competition and challenges

Professor Christian Andres highlights WHU's positive development in the rankings, but warns of increasing competition. The QS World University Rankings 2025, which analyzed a total of 1,500 universities from 106 countries this year, also take factors such as employability and sustainability into account for the first time. This could also mean new challenges for WHU.
