Math courses to prepare for the Abitur: Register now for free!

The Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg invites all high school graduates to digital math Abitur preparation courses, which will take place on April 24th and 25th, 2025. These events are a valuable opportunity to prepare for the upcoming Abitur exams. The courses take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. via the Zoom platform. The target group is students from all over Germany who want to optimally prepare for their exams.

Over the two days, the program includes repeating exams from the last Abitur years as well as answering specific questions about the lesson content. The focus here is on the topics of analysis as well as analytic geometry and linear algebra. The responsible director, Prof. Elmar Woschke from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, emphasizes that the course aims to allay high school graduates' fear of mathematics and to awaken interest in technical courses.

Free participation and registration

Participation in the preparation courses is free of charge, but registration is recommended to ensure that the technical requirements can be met. This gives participants the opportunity to prepare intensively for their Abitur exams and to benefit from the support of experienced lecturers.

In a broader context, the platform “DIE MATHLETEN” from Munich offers special math tutoring, which is also aimed at preparing for the Abitur. This platform is aimed at students in all federal states and includes both basic and advanced courses. The offer includes an ALL-IN-ONE course that accompanies students throughout the entire school year until they graduate from high school. Interactive and virtual tutoring as well as tailor-made learning materials for each federal state support students in optimally preparing for their Abitur exams.

Both programs, the digital courses from the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and the tutoring services from DIE MATHLETEN, show the growing need for comprehensive support in mathematics, especially in the critical phase of preparing for the Abitur.

Further information and registration for the university's courses can be found on the website Otto von Guericke University. Also the math offer from THE ATHLETES provides additional resources to support math.
