On March 25, 2025, Elmar Brok, a long-time politician and former member of the European Parliament, will read from his latest book "Don't gamble away Europe! - Without the EU, Germany is a dwarf". The event will take place in the university library of Chemnitz University of Technology in the “IdeenReich” and starts at 6 p.m. The journalist and author Peter Köpf, who is known for his political reporting, will moderate the reading.
Brok, who worked in the European Parliament from 1980 to 2019 and held several leadership positions, addresses in his book the central importance of a strong European Union (EU) for Germany.
