Chemnitz University of Technology opens its doors to sports-loving students and alumni. Online registration for the university sports courses, which offer a wide range of activities, starts from June 23, 2025 at 8 a.m. Particularly noteworthy is the diverse program, which includes both team and individual sports. Team sports include soccer, volleyball, floorball, flag football, rugby, spikeball, table tennis as well as a running club and Frisbee. For those who like individual activity, courses in badminton, bouldering, Aikido Systema, karate, self-defense, juggling, yoga and medieval sword fighting are available.
The offer is also supplemented by various fitness courses such as “Really good fitness sports course”, body shaping, stomach-legs-butt, rope skipping, movement lovers, circuit training and acrobatics. For flexible use, participants can purchase jumper tickets for the beach and tennis courts on campus. Program for the lecture-free period
Participation is free for students at Chemnitz University of Technology during the semester break, and former students and certain employees are also permitted to participate. The courses also offer an intercultural aspect, as the training is often carried out in the language of the trainers, often also in Japanese. However, participants should follow the rules, such as not reporting unannounced absences.
Additional offers and registration options
RheinMain University of Applied Sciences reports that over 60 sports offerings will be available in the 2025 summer semester. These include not only various team sports, but also dance and martial arts courses. Innovative “Feel Connected” offers are intended to promote fitness and exchange among students. Registration for these offers begins on April 16, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Participants can subsequently register if there are free places, and an overview of all offers and registration options are available on the UniNow platform. What is particularly interesting is that a program for the lecture-free period will also be available on UniNow from April 2025.
