KOSMOS CHEMNITZ 2025: A festival full of discoveries and surprises!

From June 13th to 15th, 2025, Chemnitz will host KOSMOS CHEMNITZ, one of the largest events in the Capital of Culture year. This three-day celebration is dedicated to the theme “C the Unseen,” which aims to shine a spotlight on the city’s hidden gems and undiscovered places. Loud TU Chemnitz Over 150 initiatives, associations and companies, including Chemnitz University, will be present on the festival grounds around the castle pond.

This event is particularly important for the university because several faculties and the Center for Teacher Training and Educational Research are taking part. Numerous program items are offered that not only inform but also entertain.

University program points

Chemnitz University of Technology is planning an extensive program:

  • 13. Juni 2025, 15:00 – 22:00 Uhr, Konkordia-Park: Informationsstand „Let’s TUC about it!“, Wissenschafts Präsentationen und Geschicklichkeitsspiele.
  • 14. Juni 2025, 12:00 – 19:00 Uhr, Festivalgelände: Informationsstand „TU Chemnitz entdecken – dein Studium, dein Kosmos“ und Chill-Area mit Wassereis.
  • 14. Juni 2025, 14:30 Uhr, AOK-Meetingraum: Vortrag „STRG + ALT + Neurodiversität“ von Nadja Just zur Neurodiversität in der Programmierung.
  • 14. Juni 2025, 12:00 – 18:00 Uhr, AOK-Kundenhalle: Ausstellung zum Thema Telepräsenzroboter mit einem Vortrag um 16:00 Uhr.
  • 14. Juni 2025, 13:00 – 17:00 Uhr, Schlossteichstraße: „Pavillon der Angst“ zur interaktiven Auseinandersetzung mit Ängsten.

A particular focus is on telepresence technology, which is considered a pioneering component of telework. These robots, equipped with audio and video units, open up new possibilities in various fields, including education and healthcare.

The festival and its meaning

A central goal of KOSMOS CHEMNITZ is to present the region's rich industrial culture and lively art scene. Zwickau district highlights that various cities and communities in the district, including Zwickau and Glauchau, want to actively participate in this cultural exchange. The multitude of events, exhibitions and projects are intended to further strengthen and preserve the cultural identity of the region.

Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to take part, who will use the opportunity to find out about the city's diverse offerings and initiatives and to exchange ideas with others. A particular focus is on inclusion and creating a shared experience for everyone.
