Chemnitz University of Technology is launching new master’s programs for the digital future!
Chemnitz University of Technology will offer two new part-time master's degree programs in the winter semester of 2025/26: “Digital Production” and “Digital Transformation”. These programs are implemented in cooperation with TUCed, the affiliated institute for transfer and further education at Chemnitz University of Technology. This was announced on the university's website, where it is also emphasized that Chemnitz University of Technology was recognized in various categories in the SZ Institute's "Best Universities for Continuing Education 2025" ranking.
The master's program in “Digital Production” (M.Sc.) is offered over a period of four semesters and is aimed primarily at specialists and managers from industry. The focus is on the digital transformation of industrial production processes. To impart application-ready knowledge, the curriculum includes topics such as digital manufacturing technologies, CAD/CAE, robotics, sensors, industrial control technology, data management, big data analysis, artificial intelligence, human-technology interaction and business process modeling. A blended learning concept enables students to learn flexibly alongside their job.
Master in Digital Transformation
The second course of study, “Digital Transformation” (MBA), extends over five semesters and is characterized by its interdisciplinary orientation, which combines aspects of economics and business information technology. Students are prepared for topics such as data-driven transformation, management concepts, digital marketing, production and logistics management as well as sustainability and digitalization. The course aims to enable graduates to actively manage the digital transformation in their companies.
In addition to the content design, emphasis was also placed on the methodology. Both degree programs are based on a blended learning concept, which offers an effective combination of face-to-face events and online learning formats, making it easier to combine further training and work. This flexibility is particularly important because digital transformation and change processes present companies with significant challenges, but also offer opportunities. The part-time master's degree in “Digital Transformation Management” aims to take advantage of these opportunities and make companies more successful. This includes the analysis of digital technologies and business models, as well as the promotion of innovations and sustainable changes within the company.
Awards and events
Chemnitz University of Technology and TUCed were able to win several winning categories in the continuing education sector, including “Best Marketing Further Education”, “Best Psychology Further Education” and “Top Finance and Economics Further Education”. According to a study by the market research institute SWI, which includes more than 100 million online sources, these awards are evidence of the high quality of the offers.
To promote these programs, TUCed will be represented at the Chemnitz University of Technology's open day on May 10, 2025, where a lecture on the part-time master's degree programs will be given. Those interested have the opportunity to contact those responsible directly. The following contacts are available for detailed information:

Finally, the Stifterverband emphasizes that the culture of cooperation and the strategic development of universities in times of digital change are crucial in order to successfully overcome the challenges brought about by the pandemic and advancing digitalization. These initiatives not only offer opportunities, but also necessary strategies for sustainable transformations in higher education and beyond, as explained in the anthology of the University Forum on Digitalization.
