Digital detoxification in focus: NOW time is attracting you to Lübeck!
A special event begins today in Lübeck that is intended to give participants a break from the digital hustle and bustle. The event “JETZTzeit – Offline in St. Petri” will take place from September 30th to October 5th, 2025 in the St. Petri University Church. Every day from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturdays even until 11 p.m., visitors can immerse themselves in a world that does not require smartphones. Entry is free.

Offers and activities
As part of the event, participants hand in their smartphones at the entrance. Study situation on digital detox
The relevance of such initiatives is supported by a new study from the Danube University Krems. This study shows that reducing daily smartphone use to a maximum of two hours has significant positive effects on mental health.
