Tech Festival 2025: Discover the digital future for students!

The first tech.festival for young people will take place from August 25th to 28th, 2025 and offers students aged 14 and over the opportunity to gain deeper insights into current research projects and new computer science technologies. Organized by the Student Academy's Initiative for Media Literacy, the festival focuses on joint development, design and experimentation. Participants can expect a varied program with interactive lectures and workshops.

The topics offered are diverse and cover numerous areas of the digital world, including web development, IT security, 3D animation & modeling, Python, Arduino, creative coding, artificial intelligence and game design. The MaTZ team at the student academy cooperates closely with scientists and students at the University of Lübeck to give young people a practical experience. Those interested can find further information and the opportunity to register on the official website website of the tech.festival.

Diverse modules for young digital talents

The tech.festival offers participants the opportunity to put together their own module plan. The workshops are divided into different formats: The tech.tracks include workshops lasting several days on digital technologies and their design. There are also tech.sessions, which offer one-day workshops. In the tech.talks, young people receive insights from experts into digital design and research.

The modules take place daily between 9am and 4pm, while additional community events are planned after 4pm. Details of additional modules will be announced in the coming days, which only increases the anticipation for this innovative event.
