Tech festival for young people: experiments with future technologies!
The new tech.festival for youth, an exciting initiative to introduce young learners to the digital world, will take place from August 25th to 28th, 2025. The organizer is the Student Academy's Initiative for Media Literacy, which is putting together an extensive program in collaboration with the MaTZ team from the University of Lübeck and scientists. The target group is students aged 14 and over who are interested in computer science, current research projects and new technologies. The festival places a particular focus on joint development, design and experimentation.
Visitors can look forward to a diverse program that includes interactive lectures and workshops. The topics range from web development and IT security to innovative areas such as artificial intelligence and game design. Each participant has the opportunity to create their own module plan and choose from various formats such as multi-day workshops, one-day sessions or informative tech.talks. These offerings run daily between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., while community events are held after 4 p.m. to promote exchange.
